Medication
GLP-1 with B12
Class of medications: GLP-1 AGONIST
Instructions for use:
glucagon secretion, thereby lowering blood sugar. Shorter-acting agonists of the GLP-1 receptor
are particularly effective at lowering post-meal glucose spikes, whereas longer-acting GLP-1
agonists have a balanced effect on lowering post-meal glucose levels as well as fasting glucose levels. ThisGLP-1 agonist has demonstrated beneficial effects on hyperglycemia in addition to decreased appetite and reduced daily caloric intake.
Vitamin B12 has been shown in studies to assist with the tolerance of treatment with GLP-1 agonists. Two common adverse reactions associated with GLP-1 agonists are nausea and Hypophagia. These reactions have been shown to be significantly reduced when used in conjunction with Vitamin B12.
PHENTERMINE
Phentermine is used for a limited period of time to speed weight loss in overweight people who are exercising and eating a low-calorie diet. Phentermine is in a class of medications called anorectics. It works by decreasing appetite.
Like other prescription weight-loss drugs, phentermine is intended to be used as part of an overall weight-loss plan. It is indicated for people who are obese, and who have failed to lose enough weight with diet and exercise alone — not for people who want to lose just a few pounds.
Phentermine is a Schedule IV drug, a classification given to drugs that have a potential for abuse, although the actual potential appears to be low.

- GLP-1 agonists were first approved in the U.S in 2017 as a method to improve glycemic control in patients with Type 2 diabetes. This class of medication has shown to be an effective solution for patients who are having difficulty losing weight. Many GLP-1 agonists now carry a FDA indication as an adjunct to a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity for chronic weight management in overweight or obese adult patients.
